Investigation of the reaction between hydrochloric acid and marble chips A chemical reaction is when two or more substance called reactants are chemically bonded to form a new product, as a result of the process, for a reaction to take place, the particles must have enough kinetic energy to collide and form new bonds , this is called a successful collision. The minimum amount of energy needed for a successful collision is activation energy, which is â€Å"The energy that an atomic system must acquire before a process can occur†. Chemical reaction is different to a physical reaction, chemical reaction are not reversible and results in a new product, however a physical reaction can be easily reversed as it only changed its state. The activation energy is able to loosen particles and enable them to from new bonds to produce new products. The faster the molecules are moving the bigger the chance of a successful collision, so the faster and stronger the reaction will be , the more kinetic energy a reactant has the easier it is for the new bonds the collide and produce new bonds. Variables that you could change Concentration of hydrochloric acid Surface area of chips Mass of marble chips Pressure Temperature Volume of hydrochloric acid Time allowed to measure oxygen given of Volume of gas collected Varying the concentration Higher concentration will make the reaction stronger, there will be more particles in the same volume so there are a lot more collisions, making the reaction faster and increasing the chance of a successful collision, lower concentration makes a weaker reaction, there will be fewer particles so less chance of a collision. Varying the pressure A higher amount of pressure will bring particles closer together making the reaction faster as there will be more collision with the energy, a lower amount of pressure will make the particles more spread put , making the reaction slower and reducing the amount of collision and energy. Varying the surface area A larger surface area will result in the number of particles to increase so there will be a higher chance of a collision increasing the rate of reaction , so the reactant broke into smaller pieces would react faster oppose to larger pieces. Varying the temperature An increased temperature will increase the speed of the particle so they collide more frequent as they have more energy. Therefore the reaction will speed up, a decreased temperature will have less energy it will move slower, collide less often slowing the reaction down. Dear collegue as we embark on this adventure of starting our own Records Company, there are some things that we need to become familiar with in order to be successful. We need to get acquainted and become knowleageable with some of the different Information Systems that will help our compny be a successful one. See below for some of the necessary systems that we will be needing. Â  Integrating certain information systems within a business organization will not only prove for a faster more efficient workplace but will also improve the bottom line for company growth. Even though there are numerous information systems that can be implemented and utilized to improve the growth and expansion of the company, there are five information systems that the company should focus on utilizing: Office Automation System, Expert System, Management Information System, Electronic Commerce System, and Transaction Processing System. The recommended information systems listed in this proposal are simple to use and cost effective. Each information system needs to be evaluated based on their advantages and disadvantages, we will discuss them in detail. Management Information System (MIS): This system is in charge of managing all organizational networks and ensuring all systems are running accordingly. The MIS would also include knowledge of all employee information as well as tracking customer sales and handling company budgets. Dealing with allocated budgets could pose an ethical issue depending on the manager in charge, which, if based on a clean background check and character, should not be an issue. Office Automation System: This system will help the flow of employee productivity maintain a constant and progressive pattern. This system, or the OAS, will provide employees with the proper tools to create effective documents for everyday business related needs. Transaction Processing Systems (TPS): This is needed in order to conduct daily operationsThe point of sale (POS) is one such system that can be designed make transactions efficient by collecting and storing sales transactions, generating purchase orders, and providing tracking numbers for individual sales. Data can transfer and used with accounting and inventory control software programs. These systems will follow the transaction from start point through the completed process and has the capability to capture records and data. Electronic Commerce System: This system will enable you to conduct transactions with different organizations and between your business and your consumers. Expert System: This system is the system that will approve credit cards. | The system crashing and causing us not to be able to take credit cards then leaving us without the transaction causing us not to meet our goal. Keep in mind that all of these sytems have their drawbacks and if they happen to failed they will cause a great deal of management pain withing your company. Main issues related to negotiation and conflict resolution The movie â€Å"12 Angry Men† covers different negotiation and conflict resolutions. The communication is set in a jury room where people with different worldview are bargaining over the judgment of a murder case. Juror 8 is willing to stand alone with his vote â€Å"not guilty†. Trying to avoid the winner’s course, he demanded a conversation about the case despite the clear 11-1 vote on the guilt of the defendant. Juror 8 discredits his opponents’ arguments and uncovers their constraint thinking, he uncovering doubtful evidence, alienating hardliners and engaging in conversations. In the conversation it becomes obvious that not every juror bases his decision on the same facts, and†¦show more content†¦When he is asks to defend his position he passes, this indicates that he is lacking the braveness to speak up. Henry is aware of this fact that the best strategy to win Juror 5 over is therefore having another juror speak up. After changing to the à ¢â‚¬Å"not guilt† side he proves himself as a valuable ally, by bringing insides to the use of the murder weapon. Juror 8 knows that bargaining power can shift through focusing on common understanding and emotional connection. Power in a negotiation can be derived through knowledge of participants. Initially Henry is quiet and not engaging in the conversation, however, he observes the others’ behavior. He never reveals anything about himself, his background, his motives, and his name stay in the dark until the end of the movie. Henry states that having reasonable doubts made him vote â€Å"not guilty†, and the idea of sentencing somebody to death can not be a matter of view minutes. He knows that only with an ally he can continue a discussion. Knowing that the he can not hold up his position alone for a longer time, he decides to gamble for the support. He hopes that he might have appealed to at least one of the jurors that were not really convinced of the guilt of the defendant from the beginning.
